This Cookie Policy explains how HQ CFO Limited ("HQ CFO", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on hqcfo.com (the "Site"). It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise your device on later visits, remember preferences, and gather analytics. "Cookie" in this policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixel tags, and SDKs that perform a similar function.

2. The cookies we use

We aim to keep cookie use minimal. Today the Site uses the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary, set by our CDN (Cloudflare) to provide security against malicious traffic, balance load, and remember whether you have completed a security challenge. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. Examples: __cf_bm, cf_clearance.
  • Functional, set when you interact with calculators, forms, or the FAQ accordion. They remember your input within a session and are cleared when you close the browser.
  • Analytics, if and when we enable analytics (e.g., privacy-preserving analytics like Plausible, Fathom, or a server-side analytics layer) the policy below applies. We will identify the specific tool, its purpose, and the data it collects.

We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party social-tracking tags on the Site. If that changes, this policy will be updated and (where required by law) a consent banner will appear.

3. How to control cookies

  • Browser controls, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site or across all sites. Search your browser's help for "cookie settings".
  • Do Not Track, we honour Do Not Track signals from your browser by treating the visit as non-consented for analytics where applicable.
  • Cloudflare cookies, strictly-necessary security cookies cannot be disabled without preventing the Site from loading reliably; blocking them may trigger a CAPTCHA challenge on each visit.

4. Third parties named in this policy

Our CDN is operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare's privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

5. Changes

This policy will be updated if our cookie use changes (for example, when we enable analytics or launch features that require additional cookies). The "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
